About Me

I’m a Massachusetts-native, New York-based Spanish-to-English translator. I’m also an avid reader, dedicated powerlifter, and amateur circus enthusiast.

After taking Spanish all through high school, I got my undergraduate degree from NYU in Drama with minors in English and American literature and Spanish language. That included a four-month study abroad stint in Madrid, where I fell even more in love with the language and with Spanish culture.

After undergrad and a few years of “finding myself,” I went back to grad school for translation and interpreting at the University of Westminster in London, where I graduated with Distinction. My master’s thesis, titled “Palimpsestic Double, Toil and Trouble”: the Intersection of Text, Translation, and Audience in Adaptations of Macbeth, combined my many interests. Needless to say, I love to think about the “how” and “why” in addition to the “what” of translation.
