I took a subtitling course right out of grad school and never looked back. Subtitles and SDH are a great way to expand access and reach new audiences with your content. I’ve worked with many aspects of the AV localization workflow from transcription and template creation through to subtitle translations, SDH adaptation, and linguistic and technical conform and QC. I also provide scripting translations that are later used to create scripts for dubbing
My AV work includes films, TV, and documentaries; podcasts; video tutorials; and corporate marketing and E-learning content.

With a background in English and American literature and Spanish language, I think a lot about the power of words and how we wield them. I’ve put those skills to good use in my text translations, working to convey the same message and information in a way that is both compelling and natural in English.
I work with texts and translations throughout the entire process from translation to copyediting to proofreading.
I love to learn, and I’ve been lucky enough to continue doing so throughout my career. That’s because I specialize in entertainment and educational content that offers me a window into new worlds, ideas, and perspectives. From online art tutorials to a lecture about bee colonies to documentaries about topics ranging from socialist policy in Chile under Salvador Allende to the life and death of a Canarian artist to the history of Cuban son.
I love what my work teaches me and I genuinely enjoy the thorough research required for an effective translation. One that will help others enjoy and learn from your content, too.

I love to travel. Visiting new places, strolling through museums, sampling the local fare. It’s a lot more approachable when you can understand the lingo. I’ve translated hotel website copy, blogs, and newsletters; informational pamphlets for a parking garage downtown; catalogs full of schedules and synopses for film festivals; and social media posts and vids for cultural events.
Planning a hike on your next adventure? I also edit product descriptions for sports apparel, among other marketing material. I can help point you in the right direction and suggest the best windbreaker to bring along.
